Mary McDonagh Murphy
Mary Murphy is a native of Rhode Island and a graduate of Wesleyan University and was a John S. Knight fellow during her time at Stanford University. She currently lives in Scarborough, New York with her husband Bob Minzesheimer, a former political reporter and editor who wrote for USA Today and has a preference for stories about books and authors.
Murphy is the Emmy-award-winning author of Scout, Atticus, and Boo, a work based on her television documentary, Hey Boo: Harper Lee and To Kill a Mockingbird. The owner of Mary Murphy & Company, a production company that specializes in a range of presentations that share a penchant for story-telling, Murphy’s work has been featured on NBS, PBS, National Geographic, CNBC, and CBS. Mary Murphy has also written for Newsweek, The Chicago Tribune, and The New York Post.
